Theo Konstantopoulos

Theo is a director and founder of Indigo Bridge.

Theo’s career spans over two decades, as a consultant with Booz Allen & Hamilton (now Strategy&), an internal consultant with SingTel Optus and as a senior consultant with a number of boutique strategy consulting firms.

He has advised clients across Australia and Asia in Financial Services, FMCG, Mining & Mining Services, Property & Construction, Retail, Telcos, Transport and Utilities. This includes blue chip corporations such as; AGL, CBA, Mirvac, NAB, SingTel Optus and SPC Ardmona. Prior to consulting Theo worked in the Aerospace and Transport industries in Australia and the UK as a design engineer.

Theo founded Indigo Bridge as a boutique entrepreneurial firm that serves clients in industries that are undergoing transformational change. The firm reflects his belief that successful transformation is grounded on a clear strategy and bringing strategy to fruition requires a range of disciplines with planning, commitment and motivation fundamental to achieve success. He works closely with executive and senior management teams bringing strategic thinking, problem solving and facilitation capabilities to every engagement.

Highlights of Theo’s work in recent years includes:

  • Transformation programs for a number of major banks in retail distribution, front and back office operational improvement including outsourcing and offshoring.
  • Turning around a number of iconic corporations in consumer goods, property development and construction.
  • Preparing two state owned corporations, in a developing economy in the telco and utility sectors, for increased competition from market de-regulation.
  • As a member of various case teams, both large and small, led or co-led engagements that addressed cost improvement mandates.
  • Developing strategy for clients in industries as diverse as mining services, construction and intellectual property.

Education

Theo has an MBA from the AGSM, a M.Eng.Sci from the University of Qld and a BE in Aeronautical Engineering (Distn) from RMIT. He is the receiver of the Hughes International Fellowship in Space Engineering and a University of Qld Postgraduate Research Award.

Interests

Outside of family time Theo has interests in aviation, theatre and opera and follows a range of sporting codes including test cricket, rugby union, gridiron, AFL and is a member of the Hawthorn FC. Theo is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD).
